The cooling-off period and cancelations
If, for any reason, you are unhappy with your purchase, or it does not meet your requirements, you can return it to us, in its original condition and packaging, within 7 days of the date you received it and we will issue an exchange or a full refund for the price you paid for the item (see our refunds and exchanges policies). This applies to all of our products except for
custom-made and commissioned jewellery items.
Items must be returned within 7 days of receipt. If items are returned after this time we are within our rights to refuse a refund but may be willing to offer an exchange, subject to it being in pristine condition.
In the unlikely event that you receive an item that is defective, has been damaged in transit, or is not the one you ordered then you can return it to us for exchange or a full refund within 7 days of receiving it. Under these circumstances we will also refund you the cost incurred in returning the item to us.
All our jewellery is guaranteed for 6 months, from the date of the original purchase.
This means that Cheshire Jewellery guarantee to replace or repair your jewellery should there be a defect due to original workmanship within 6 months. We hope you understand that if you have accidentally or otherwise mishandled your jewellery, this guarantee does not apply.
Examples of defects due to original workmanship include: Faulty catch, poor soldering, poorly set gemstones or diamonds, badly finished metal with sharp edges.
Examples of defects due to mishandling would include: Snapped chain, damaged metal or gemstones due to contact with corrosive substances, scratches on the surface of metal, resin, leather or gemstones due to knocks or scrapes, lost pendant due to poorly fastened chain or choker.
Any claim arising under this guarantee must be submitted by the original purchaser and shall include proof of purchase. During the warranty period Cheshire Jewellery shall, at its option, either replace or repair, at no charge to the original purchaser, any parts or components that are found to be defective by Cheshire Jewellery. Return postage charges are non-refundable; we strongly recommend that you use a traceable delivery method such as Royal Mail Special Delivery to return items under warranty.
Refund and Exchanges Policies
Items returned during the 7 day cooling off period must be unworn, unused and in the same condition as received. On receipt of the item/s received in original condition we will inspect the returned item for signs of tampering or wear and tear before issuing a refund. We are unable to give refunds on jewellery for body piercings (earrings/body bars/body rings/etc.) for hygiene reasons.
Items must be returned in their original packaging and securely wrapped. If you received the item by Royal Mail Recorded Delivery you must return the item by that method, if you received the item by Royal Mail Special Delivery you must return the item by that method. Return postage charges incurred in returning an unwanted item are non-refundable. Return postage charges incurred in returning
an incorrect or faulty item will be refunded in full, the refund will be limited to the postage charges only.
Please allow up to 14 working days after receipt for all refunds and exchanges to be processed.
We are committed to protecting your privacy. We will only use the information that we collect about you lawfully (in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998).
We may email you in the future unless you have told us not to do so. The type of information we will collect about you includes: your name, address, phone number, email address.
We will never collect sensitive information about you without your explicit consent. The information we hold will be accurate and up to date. You can check the information that we hold about you by emailing us. If you find any
inaccuracies we will delete or correct it promptly.
Cheshire Jewellery does not hold onto your credit or debit card details. Your personal details are retained for our records but will NOT be passed onto third parties.
Cheshire Jewellery offers PayPal to handle financial transactions.
PayPal uses state of the art encryption safeguarding your financial and personal information. Your security is one of our most important priorities and one reason we use PayPal.
Cheshire Jewellery does not hold your credit or debit card details. Your personal details are retained for our records but will NOT be passed onto third parties.
We understand that PayPal may not be a preference for all our customers. In that case we are able to accept payment by online banking, cheque, postal order or cash.
